One day, an 11-year-old boy is kidnapped by an alien who says he came from the future, where they were very close. Dib Membrane is thrilled by his new acquaintance and his first friend in his life. But the alien himself, despite his words, is somewhat dubious. He belongs to the most dangerous race in the Universe, wears the form of an Invader and hates humanity. And he is also a war criminal and a mass murderer. Is Zim really a friend for Dib? Or is this all another cunning plan?

Summary
Zim, a 11 year old Irken is sent to conquer mysterious planet “Urth” as a “top secret” mission by his Almighty Tallests, Red and Purple. He believes that this is a top secret mission, but that is further than the truth.
He meets a “Urthinoid” boy his age, Dibert “Dib” Membrane. A weird and kind of unhinged boy with a not-so-good reputation. His only friend is this other boy named Keef Cooksey, another social reject, who have an unlikely friendship despite their differing personalities.
Dib has a mean younger sister, Gazlene “Gaz” Membrane, who couldn’t care less about Zim.
Zim and Dib quickly become sworn enemies, but, will this be the case for the rest of their lives? Or will this be subject to change?

Ще з минулого понеділка все йшло навперекосяк: починаючи з проваленої лабораторної з хімії, де через цю безглузду людину, Діба, який не переставав таращитись на неї, кипляча кислота роз'їла їм парту, - і закінчуючи черговим нападом загарбників на її - Зім! - Землю. А тепер вона ще й застрягла з розбитим кораблем і якимось життєрадісним волохатим дурником на незвіданій планеті в офіційному "ніде" без будь-якої можливості повернутися додому. О так, Зім точно не завадило б почистити карму.

Everything had been going wrong since last Monday: from the failed chemistry lab, where boiling acid had eaten away at their desk because of that stupid person, Dib, who kept staring at her, to another invasion of her - Zim! - Earth. And now she was stuck with a crashed ship and some cheerful hairy fool on an uncharted planet in the official "nowhere" with no way to return home. Oh yeah, Zim certainly couldn't hurt to clean up her karma.
