Being the warden watching over single prisoner can be lonely.
If it weren't for his records Sam wouldn't even remember the last time someone other than Quackity visited. It didn't matter anyway, they weren't there for him. They all just passed him on their way to see the monster Pandora holds. The monster Sam has to keep locked up and alive - certain duck hybrid making the latter rather difficult some days.
Sam is trapped in the prison of his own creation just as much as Dream is, it's just different things holding them in. While Dream is held in by obsidian walls, Sam is unable to leave because of his duties as warden.In the heart of the prison, in his blood covered cell, a sole prisoner is lonely too.
Maybe they could be lonely together?
Or: I suck at summaries but I had this idea of Sam and Dream becoming closer in the prison when they're pretty much the only people there and my brain wouldn't shut up about it and now were here (it'll take few chapters for them to get along so please be patient with me). Oh and Q has trauma or something

His older brother—typically quiet, downright boring—tries to debunk the paranormal with weird scientific terms he could *not* give two shits about.
Unfortunately, smartass Techno was wrong this time. Because now, Tommy is hiding in the gap between a basket of his dirty laundry and a drawer overtaken by black mold. From a ghost.
Or a phantom. Or Freddy Krueger. Or a serial killer who's really good at their job. From- from something.
OR
Tommy doesn't believe in ghosts. Of course he doesn't. Only idiots do that. At least, that's what his family has been telling him for years now. But when he encounters a spirit himself, it turns out that his older brother Techno knows more about banishing evil than the average sane person does.

Even if he hated the idea of Schlatt returning in full, it was a lot easier to keep him out of his home if he couldn’t just phase through walls. Of course, convincing Sam was easy, twisting it in such a way that made his goal seem necessary, that dream had to give up that book.
So what if Dream kept his stubborn mouth shut?
So what if Quackity started to lose that perfect business-man cool?
So what if he had to take more drastic measures to persuade those tight lips to loosen?

He was so stupid and painfully stubborn, but a part of him still hoped that it was all a big misunderstanding and that maybe just maybe they could fix everything. It was a naïve and childish wish, but he wasn´t giving up on it yet.
Karl looked at him concerned and unsure, but Sapnap nodded. He grabbed his cold hands and followed Charlie who led the way.
The sky was full of clouds now, it was probably going to rain again. The streets were still lit and lonely.
So much for a nice evening, Sapnap thought.
