A voice.

The followed up, distant chatter of the same voice, in the same pitch and hoarseness Inho had never expected to hear again. In-ho drops the gun, pulls his arm and takes him into a hug. Gi-hun doesn't hug him back, but rests his forehead on his shoulder. "I hate you."
"I know." In-ho runs his fingers through his hair; it really is growing back. "I know."
“I hate you.” Gi-hun dampens In-ho's shirt but he doesn't care. He doesn't dare to let him go.
“Shh… I know.”
The island was destroyed. All that's left are two winners who are learning to deal with the burden of survival.

Summary
Hwang In-ho is a recently widowed man. The world feels wrong, bitter, and completely hopeless.
His brother becomes overtly concerned, poignantly aware of his stupor. With the foresight of how difficult grief can be, he takes In-ho out for a warm meal. Fresh air.
Outside, among the clamoring streets, develops a flash-mob, swarming a tall, well-kempt man, surrounded by security.

In memories, in silence, in the spaces Inho cannot stop revisiting. Actions played over and over in his head and the desperate wish to turn back time haunting his every breath.

Even though yin and yang seem to be antithetical, one has no meaning without the other.
My season 3 fix-it fic follows Gi-hun, In-ho, Jun-hee, Dae-ho, among others, as they grapple with the aftermath of the rebellion while confronting their own demons. Please note that this fic follows multiple characters from the show, but the primary focus is on Gi-hun and In-ho, and their dynamic.The title is inspired from the phrase “journeys end in lovers meeting” coined by William Shakespeare in Twelfth Night. It has been used multiple times in The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, and this novel is where I have borrowed it from.

The Frontman isn't surprised by Gi-hun's trauma. He knows firsthand what that island can do, how it breaks someone's spirit. He can only imagine how much worse it feels being back a second time. Nevertheless, the erratic, skittish behavior that Gi-hun starts to display during the games intrigues him. Worries him, even.
It doesn't take him long to realize that Gi-hun has not one, but two familiar faces among the other players. An old friend, but also an ex, abusive boyfriend.
As Young-il allows In-ho to experience the games and be close to the object of his fascination, he gets to watch Gi-hun unravel before his eyes, initiating a new, exciting, and equally lethal game between the Frontman and the player who wants to destroy him. -
