Significant repairs had been made in the intervening months but it still bore scars. Most of the walls had been restored but large chunks were still missing and the work that was completed seemed to have been done with more haste than care in places. It was obvious where the stone was new. Ron must have been having similar thoughts because he broke the silence. “It looks a right mess. Do you reckon they let Filch oversee the repairs?” The last attempt at a joke half-hearted.
Hermoine, answered seriously though. “I wonder if it was deliberate?”
“Why would the deliberately repair it badly?” Harry wasn’t sure if it was disbelief or anger coloring his voice. He hated seeing the castle like this.
