The Black Mask? What did that mean?
"Ow–nothing! I don’t know anything. Anything! I don’t even know where I am." He dared to open his eyes slightly. A looming creature, ebony black and impossibly graceful. He couldn’t tell where the shadows started and the being ended, poised carefully in the alleyway. Maybe it was his imagination, but he thought that their grip loosened slightly at his confession.
"Gotham." They said quietly. Their voice was rough and rumbly, but steady, oddly calming. "You are in Gotham, New Jersey."

Or, Jason Grace doesn't die, but his memories do. With the divine equivalent of throwing a dart at a map with your eyes closed, the gods drop him in New Jersey in some random universe. Lucky him, because there's a recently free position at the worst city on Earth, that may or may not entail dressing up in traffic light colored spandex and busting the brains out of a really weird clown.

Percy and the Seven have made it through the war with Gaea. They are alive and free and able to finally live. Annabeth and Percy are on their way to graduation, Jason and Leo spend their time at their camp, Piper is off with her girlfriend, Hazel and Frank are thriving at camp Jupiter, and Nico is finally happy.
For once their lives are golden.
Until little by little their need for hunger and hygiene starts to dwindle. Debilitating pains rack their bodies, and tastes they have never tasted before fills their mouths. They hope that without worrying, without thinking of it, that it will all go away. But even had the fates ever listened to them?
It isn’t until Dionysus realizes what is happening, that there is light in their corner. Slowly their world starts to get brighter again. With the help of Dionysus and Chiron they are set for a quest. A quest that if they are not careful, they will lose theirselves.
Will they make it? Or will they fall through the cracks? Turning into what they have always feared, their parents.
