Summary
Years after Voltron’s disbandment, Lance has returned to his family’s farm on Earth. He’s traded battles for blue skies and plowing fields, finding peace—but also an emptiness he doesn’t admit aloud.
Then, one summer night, a fiery object streaks across the sky and crashes in his fields. When he rushes to check, he finds an unconscious, bloodied half-Galra pilot—Keith.

Summary
Lance couldn’t help the bewildered look on his face, still she went on “your ego took a hit this morning so you decided to just go somewhere to brood” and that got Lance to shut up. His ego? That wasn’t the issue, but how, just how was he supposed to say that to his friends? You didn’t hurt my ego, you hurt my feelings? Fuck no. I’m never saying that. But I have to say something, anything, just -
A story of missed opportunities and regrets, yet still, somehow everything ends up okay.
Aternatively: Lance feels like the 7th wheel and misses Keith, the team doesn't help in the slightest. Lance doesn't want to appear weak so he doesn't say anything, and lets his friends talk down on him. His friends' words hurt his mind and soul, that is until they actually lead to something much worse.
But maybe one person can change everything. Wonder who that one might be? -

Summary
If anyone had told Lance that at nineteen, he’d be forced to make the difficult decision to give up going to college in favor of working three jobs to financially support his family, he wouldn’t have believed them in a million years. Even if they’d tried to tell him six months ago, the response would have remained the same. Independence was something he’d clawed out for himself as an omega in an alpha’s world; the second he’d been old enough to get a job to pay for his own things, he’d leapt at the chance, buying his first cell phone and paying for a plan out of his own pocket. The other part of it was an effort to lighten the financial load on his mother; being a single omega mother to three children wasn’t easy, which was a huge reason he was doing what he was.
Or:
Everything crumbles under Lance's feet. His life is a whirlwind of past trauma left untreated and new beginnings. Will Lance be able to navigate learning to trust again? Will his life ever bring more than pain?

“Oh hey everybody, I’m back from God knows where from doing God knows what! I have a space wolf and a space mom and I’m tall as hell!”
“I’m only two inches taller than you, calm down.”
“That’s what you take from this?”
Let’s just say, this may or may not be a fix-it to season 7 and season 8.

He awoke with a horrified, chilling shriek. The radiation was still sizzling over his skin, still burning into him, still trying to gouge deep into his being and purify him via molecular destruction and reconstruction. Deep down inside of his core was pure ice. All he could do at that point was scream . Distantly, he could hear a voice, but nothing in the universe mattered more than his own death.
"You're safe, Lance." Hunk began, beginning to tell Lance of their situation like Lance had always done for him. "You're in our dorm room at the Garrison." Had Hunk just said they were at the Garrison? What did that mean? How was that even possible?

Summary
Lance is a Paladin of Voltron, and he doesn’t take orders from anyone but his leader. He maintains that appearance, anyway, as he tilts his own head back, as if he has to consider it. The truth is, every molecule in his being is zinging to be across the room, lost in conversation with an attractive, friendly stranger. To be anywhere but here, alone and miserable and with nothing to do but stew in his isolation until he can finally go back to the Castle.
The stranger’s smile turns into an outright, teeth-showing grin. And that, Lance will later reflect—that’s what seals the deal. That’s the point of no return.

Or,
When Lance falls victim to a stranger at a party, it brings up more issues than the fresh trauma alone.

Summary
Lance isn't eating, which, is really starting to concern Keith. Keith keeps staring at Lance, which, keeps creeping him out. Pidge is tired of all the bullshit.
Aka Pidge helps the two boys out.
Eating isn't the only problems Voltron faces though, with Hagar still out in the galaxy causing issues, no one can go home until she is safely locked away. The team is on a mission to stop Hagar but stopping her is harder than it seems as they come face to face with their own clones. Figuring out who the enemy is becomes much harder, when the enemy wears your face, or the face of a loved one.
(I'm horrible at summaries please read, it's angsty and good and Keith and Lance just want to fall in love, but the galaxy keeps getting in their way.) -

For the first time in months, Shiro finally gets the paladins back together. Paladins living together, teaching kids while still being kids, and several people falling in and out of love. Keith and Lance find themselves stuck in the same house, the same mission, with the same feelings, just like before. Maybe this time, they'll find themselves stuck in the same future.

The Icarus insult- the humiliation of watching someone succeed where you failed.
----
Lance and Keith are what Keith thought to be star crossed lovers. They had, after all, certainly crossed stars together. But like everything, time was against the stars as well. They had shared a single night weaved in passion, and Keith had hoped that that would be it, they would finally be together as Keith had always hoped.
But instead of returning to earth and running into Lance's open arms he runs into Lance's marriage to Allura. Had it meant nothing? The past overcomes him and he fights with not just Lance, but also Allura.
He hasn't returned to earth for eight years. But a lot can happen in eight years.----
Or
Keith comes back to earth after 8 years of radio silence, changed and a potential former terrorist, only to find the reason he left in the first place had crashed and burned (much to his delight)

“All you have to do is admit you like him, and I'm all ears again." Then, Hunk looked over at Pidge and mock-whispered, "I gotta be honest, I kind of miss him waxing poetic about Keith's silky mullet." He did air quotes and everything, as if that was something Lance actually said!
"I never called his mullet silky!" Lance protested.
Hunk smiled even wider, like Lance had walked straight into his trap, "Yeah, you're right. What you actually said was that when we get back to Earth, you're going to buy Keith the five most expensive conditioners you can find to see which one makes his hair the silkiest." Hunk smugly clarified, while Pidge was already on the ground cackling again.
Fuck. Okay, Lance might have actually said that.
Or
Lance is so deep in denial that he can’t even acknowledge his feelings for Keith exist. But when Hunk accidentally reveals that Keith might feel the same way, Lance has to face the truth. Also, Keith might have been flirting with him this whole time? Of course, as soon as Lance starts to come to terms with his feelings, he gets stung by an alien love bug. Because his life is ridiculous, and he can’t catch a break. -

“Guys, you should really come down now! Something is happening!” Hunk said through the intercom.
“Lance??” Allura froze as she saw Lance fly the Castle.
“But that shouldn’t be possible! Only an Altean from the royal Altean family can use those controls!” Coran said.
Then another thing happened.
Lance was still flying the ship, so he couldn’t see it. Pidge was the first one to notice.
“Guys! Look at his cheeks!” she pointed out.
And sure enough, on Lance’s cheeks right under his eyes, light blue sickle-shaped marks started appearing.Or (previously): The Voltron Paladins discover something about one of them. Something none of them knew. Not even Lance himself.
