This wasn’t that.
This was like someone had taken the edge off his hunger without touching him at all. Like stepping into the ocean on a hot day.
His fingers clenched firmly around the bottle, threatening to shatter it.
He didn’t look at the stage. Not directly. He couldn’t.
Instead, he stared at the flicker of gold light reflecting in the condensation of the table, watching it dance with each soft chord from the man’s guitar.

I’m not very particular on the in betweens. I just want everyone in the coven to get some a happy ending. Maybe the Reader can be magical or have a dark/shady backstory. “That and I tried to do a story on the growing number of homeless children last month and I got shut down. According to the last count, the numbers have been decreasing, but there’s been no change in policies, no extra funding to CPS, or shelters, or even an increase in the number of inmates in the juvenile detention center. So where are they going?”
Detective Bruce Wayne may have the highest solve rate in Gotham, but if he wants to solve this case, he’ll need the help of an elusive street kid, and while Dick Grayson always lands on his feet, he usually lands himself right into trouble.
