As close to them as they had to get to borrow what they needed, they always ensured they'd never be seen. It not only endangered themselves but any borrower who happened to be nearby. So of course, Jean had to go and fuck it all up. Because of course he did. Still, maybe it wouldn't be as bad as he'd expected an encounter with a human would be.
This Armin guy did seem pretty nice, after all.
