Soap barked a weak laugh. “Honourable death, that. Put me down like a hound, see if I don’t come back to haunt you.”
But Ghost didn’t move.
“I can’t let you die,” he said finally. “You have something of mine.”
Soap arched a brow. “Aye? And what’s that, then?”
“My heart.”

Simon “Ghost” Riley is a Templar Knight, his mission to help King Shepherd expand his kingdom and open new trails to trade. Unfortunately, the locals don’t make it very easy.
The local Druid native population is dwindling with the spread of King Shepherd’s kingdom. Farah takes care of her people, they have a small community of several druids from different neighboring villages and clans that had been attacked by King Shepherd’s knights. Obviously they would not stand for the king’s treatment of their people.
Ghost was on a mission with his unit, to clear out an outpost of rebel Druids. Upon their attack, the unit was ambushed by a militia of Druids, Ghost was injured and his unit left him for dead. When awoke from his unconscious, Ghost found himself in an unfamiliar hut and a Scot with a mohawk tending to his wounds.

Instantly, he felt the coursing of some type of poison as he went to his good knee, cursing and reaching back for his bad knee. He watched through the corner of his visor as John’s claymore bit into the archer’s shoulder and cleaved halfway through his torso before he dropped.
