Judging by the light, it was a decent ways into the morning, though it was still raining. Despite the silence, the house smelled of baking bread, and he could have sworn that he’d only pulled one blanket over himself last night, and now there were two. “Hello?” he said to the air. “Good mornin’?”
Something clattered in the kitchen.

Philza(a civillian) dies while trying to help MissTrixtin(Goddess of Death) in a battlefield. His fate was originally not dying but trying to help a stranger killed him. The Goddess of Death takes pity on him and to avoid any trouble, she resurrects him in the underworld(NOT the Nether) so he isn't technically alive. Philza has lost his memory after his resurrection, but he falls in love with Trixtin. Trixtin thinks Philza is cute.

As Phil looks back, he sees Technoblade resurfacing again, but this time the mer isn't looking at him, but rather somewhere to his left. Techno reaches out and pulls something out of the water. Then Phil is face to face with a mer, but a small and grumpy one.
This must be what the merfolk calls a pup, a child of their species. Said pup is currently pouting at him, while being held under his arms by Techno.
"Phil, meet Theseus, my son," the older mer announces proudly, which leaves Phil's brain lagging to catch up with the information. The man thought that if his friend had a child, it would have somehow came up in their conversations. After all, when kids take up the majority of your time, it's hard not to mention them to others.

What had happened that his mind so cruelly would deny him the knowledge. Was it worth knowing? He did not forget often but when he did it was to spare himself the grief. Was it grief? Had he done something to him?
He needed to find him to remember what happened to know he was not truly the monster everyone thought he was.

He couldn't cope with the shame, the disappointment he felt in himself, and worst of all the justification he felt in his actions. He knew that none of those would be welcomed before an all-powerful deity that had never felt emotion in that same way that a mortal did and so he pushed it all down, fighting the urge to let out the sigh that had built in his chest.
Or: God servant Technoblade is abandoned by the God he follows. Fortunately for him, someone else has had their eye on him.

All he could feel was the steady creeping of terror into his heart and the cold wood of the totem clutched tightly in his hand- his one lifeline, his one shot at escaping with his life.

In the midst of chaos, Tommy will always find the opportunity to make it worse. That’s something that Techno has learned the longer he travels with these two strange men.
He has to be thankful, of course. He was a little runt of a Piglin, stuck in a Bastion that didn’t really want him, half-starved and ill with rot. And yet, Phil picked him up out the Nethervoid without so much as a second thought. So, of course, Techno had to be thankful.
He could still be a little annoyed when Tommy made hard things worse.

Technoblade turns the machine on. And Philza prays to his lady death, his love. Technoblade chants a promise to his god, and Philza lovingly sings to his. This is who they are, this is what matters.
The portal flickered, particles beginning to form into existence, a screeching echo in the room before a blackness slowly formed in the frame of the portal, a dead-like feeling echoing through the room. It would be ominous, if Philza didn’t already know why it was like that.
To travel through time, one would condemn an entire past to cease to exist just to rewrite it.
It was unlike the end portal that held a galaxy in it. This was death, blessed by it. Pure darkness alone. The torches flickered red, and Philza could tell the Blood God gave its blessing too.
