Wrong. Leo Valdez is the most depressed one at camp. But he tries to hide it. When the cracks start forming the seven and others get worried. In order to understand what hes going through they, along with some others, including the gods, have to watch his life. But not even the gods know of all the horrors Leo Valdez has faced in his life.

“Jason.” Piper is speaking slowly now, breaths shallow and shaking with adrenaline. “Why aren’t you helping me?”
It’s a long, long few seconds before Jason can shove the answer out of his mouth. He realizes, belatedly, that it’s probably because he doesn’t want to speak it into existence. He doesn’t, under any circumstances, want this to be real. Still, he tries to steady his breath and steel himself, just like he’s been trained, like he’s done countless times before. He owes it to Piper to be strong right now. He owes it to Leo.
“He’s gone, Piper. Chiron, Apollo cabin… they can’t do anything. He’s gone.”

Percy has been seeing the past and the future all his life. When he was seven and about to die, he called out to Apollo for help. Apollo brought his brand new baby prophet to his oldest living son, Lee Fletcher, to care for. From there the events of Percy Jackson and The Olympians unfold, both similar to, but also entirely different from canon. Most of the characters' ages have been changed, new backstories added and much of this stories explores the complexity of people and gods.
Prequel: ‘You’re a Demigod, Percy’ covers seven year old Percy’s first few months at camp.
