Who wasn’t? She was pretty sure half of Ferelden had at least read Hard in Hightown, doubly so for dwarves.
She’d heard the name Varric tossed around once or twice before it clicked. He’d apparently been away with the Inquisitor on some mission or another—what had they said? Hinterlands? Crestwood? Somewhere in that direction.
“It’s hard to tell if you’re being sarcastic or not.”
“Good.”A pink-haired bard shows up to Skyhold to roost in Herald's Rest. She and Varric become fast friends before realizing that the connection they've fostered goes deeper than either of them expected.

His hand slid down to cup the swell of her stomach, seemingly growing every day, if slowly. “How is our little one?”
“Asleep,” Helaena deadpanned. “The midwife said it might be tendays yet before even I can feel them kicking.”
“I know.” Gale kissed her cheek, right on top of the pillow crease. “I just don’t want to risk missing anything.”
“You won’t,” she promised, smiling as she rested her hand on top of his. “They’re just taking their time to make themselves known.”
“I love you.” He spoke without thinking, a truth as obvious as the sky being blue or Elminster having a fondness for cheese. “Both of you,” he amended the statement to, looking down on their clasped hands resting above where their child slept, safe and sound. “More than anything.”

The whole kerfuffle had quite ruined his afternoon sunbathing. That there had been no sunbeams in his domain due to the effects of that dreadful curse was entirely irrelevant. Why, the mess had taken days to clean up! Not that he had done any of it himself, of course. That’s what underlings were for.
