Summary
Healing after a truck bombing, breakup, pulmonary embolism, tsunami and lawsuit is a slow process when you're afraid to talk to your team when it feels like the world is crumbling in on you. Finding your way out of the crippling darkness is a lonely process when you're afraid you'll get benched again for something beyond your control. Learning to love again is a terrifying process when you're not sure your best friend will ever truly forgive you.

Summary
“Thank you,” he murmurs to Geralt as they sit together on his couch, both nursing hot toddies (Geralt’s praise for Jaskier’s heavy pour was so effusive it made him blush like he hasn’t since he was a teenager and Victoria Stael had him by the wrist at a Grammys afterparty) and watching the girls play with the LEGO set Jaskier got Essi for Chanukah. It’s for the gifts but it’s also for everything else.
“The wine is really more for me than for you, Jas,” Geralt smirks, but he softens quickly, his gaze warm, nudging Jaskier with his shoulder, understanding what Jaskier was trying to say without needing to be told. “But no problem.”
That’s what Jaskier likes about Geralt. With him, some things can be left unsaid. Jaskier never thought he’d take such comfort in silence, wordsmith that he is and has always been, but with Geralt, he is learning how to sit with the quiet, how to speak without sound.

Summary
It's been many months since the mountain incident. Jaskier is alone on Christmas day. His lovely, old house has somehow become a monster-infested hellhole. Now it seems there might be a way to kill two birds with one stone. Only deciding what actually needs killing is much more complicated than that.
