Ichigo and Orihime were high school sweethearts and now they're a respectable married couple with a perfectly fine little suburban house and a child. (Well, tolerably fine. The house, not the child. The child is great.) They are sweet and loving and supportive and there is nothing missing in their life. Nope! Nothing.
Nelliel and Grimmjow sure as hell aren't married, and never mind being respectable in any way, but they managed to breed somehow so they're gonna have to deal with that. As soon as they manage to deal with being jobless and evicted.

Times were, Jin and Rin liked it when the big boss's eyes fell on them and he said things like, "ah, I can entrust you with that thing". Felt important, like understanding, like respect.
Now Rin coils tighter around his neck and resists the urge to sigh.
"Urahara-dono, sir?"
The boss nods slowly. "You're good with the weird," his daemon says.
Jin does not feel very complimented.
"Take your newbie with you. Urahara-dono's heir knows him, doesn't he?"
Urahara-dono's heir regards Jin's trainee the way one regards a dumb, hapless chicken in a field full of foxes and tiger dens -- with vague, despairing concern. It's, Jin supposes, not the worst thing. He could be regarding him like a newly powerful man regards the punk who used to try to beat him up behind the grocery store.

"I came with the Captain-Commander." Her voice was all no-nonsense, extra-professional; Kyōraku was probably in the room with her. Ichigo tried not to feel too disappointed. He'd hoped... "Now Urahara-san tells us a garganta just opened and closed, can you confirm?"
"Yeah, they just left. Peacefully and with half my entire house's worth of pillows."
He was rewarded with a little 'heh.' "And your estimated time of arrival at the shop?"
"Oh, uh." Ugh. Five minutes if he flew, but he didn't want to fly. "Fifte... thirty minutes. I gotta... stuff."
"Very well." She turned away from the phone, voice gone muffled as she relayed his words. Sigh.
"Alright," she said all at once, in such a different tone he almost startled. "I'm in the ladies' room. Tell me why you're coming back on foot. Are you brooding?"

Summary
In a diverging timeline where Naruto brought Sasuke back from the Valley of the End Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto are still teammates and a strange kind of friends, though nothing more -- Naruto still in love with Sakura, Sakura still in love with Sasuke, Sasuke still trying not to feel too much for either of them; and then due to Kyuubi's influence, here they are, the three of them in bed.
It would be problematic enough on its own -- three-ways relationships are weird enough as it is and jealousy might mess up everything; who should shack up with who?; who likes who best?; what is it going to do to their carefully balanced team dynamics? -- but that's only until they realize that they have bigger problems. Namely Naruto and Sasuke torn between "I'm not ready to be a father" and "what if i'm NOT the father?", Sakura's parents' disapproval, Konoha's council freaking out, Sakura's failing health and their powerlessness to fix it, Kyuubi's intentions. And then there's the Akatsuki's reemergence. More council plotting.
Can they really learn to balance their team and their relationship?
