When Slade first gave him the serum, Robin dared to think- that with it, maybe, just maybe, he’d have a chance at fighting back. He had hope, that things would change for the better.
The scalpel descends, ice cold steel meeting feverishly hot skin. Robin wishes it would melt and slide off his skin like water, but he does not hope.
Robin knows better than to hope now.

Tim looked down at the lobster.
He’d not had an allergic reaction in years.
Slowly, he shovelled the largest chunk of meat onto his fork.
