He doesn’t pray for himself though, he very distinctly leaves himself out of prayer. If God was real he wouldn’t deserve his kindness, his grace. He wouldn’t deserve it because he doesn’t believe in it.
So again for the third month in a row he gets down on his knees, he clasps his hands together, and he closes his eyes. “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,” Eddie whispers into the folds of his hands.
