During the time that Buck is on the outs with the team Eddie forbids him from seeing Chris. Buck is devastated but carries on. On his day off through sheer happenstance he walks by the park Carla and Chris are at. To Buck's horror he sees this crazy man knock Carla out and then grab Chris. Without hesitating Buck chases the bad guy down and takes a beating before saving Chris.
