Summary
Damian Al Ghul ends up in Gotham after ‘beating’ his Mother, Talia Al Ghul, in a fight she let him win. Hurt and confused he is told to find his father, Damian runs into Red Hood and asks him to take him to Batman.
But when Damian meets his ‘father’ he’s unpleasantly surprised to find that he is very young, way too… nice? And not as, tough, as his mother described.

In Doryoku, night was day. The creatures that lived around dead trees and beneath foliage, trekked out of their homes and did their business. Horrible creatures who hunted and scared, friends and foes of Vampires.
Enji’s Kingdom was one of night, darkness and horror, while Yuuei was one of peace and harmony. Two very different places with very different people.

Being woken up in the middle of night isn't Aki's favorite thing, but one panicked call from Denji is all it takes for Aki to get up and drive to Waffle House at 3am.
Sure Denji was crass, immature, and at times he was more trouble than he was worth, but somehow the gremlin child had managed to worm his way into Aki's cold dead heart.
Or: Denji's dad is a dick, but Aki's there to pick up the pieces.
