“Conrad? Are you here?” Tommy twisted the door handle and was surprised to find it unlocked. He frowned and looked over his shoulder at Thea who was chewing on her lip behind him. Only 13 and she had already lost so much. He wondered for a moment what had possessed him to bring her along for this ride. He had no idea what state he would find the apartment in, what state he would find Conrad in. He pushed on into the apartment.
“Conrad? It’s Tommy. Door’s open so I’m coming in. Thea’s with me.” Tommy’s foot tapped something. He looked down. A beer bottle. He kicked it aside and looked up again. “We just want to say hi. We heard you were back.” He heard Thea start walking behind him but waved her back. He needed to know what they were dealing with first. He picked his way around more cans and bottles littered across the apartment.Series

He couldn’t stop seeing Lily die again and again and again. Conrad decided to forego his bike in favour of running to work this morning. He turned the volume of his music all the way up and tried to let his mind relax.
