“Neither do I.” Buck says, but he knows even as he’s saying it that he still sounds angry. Because he is. Because he’s barely been able to get his hands to stop shaking and here Eddie is, fine, like he always is, like he didn’t get way too close to getting shot again. Like Buck doesn’t know what his blood tastes like, what it feels like to have it splattered across his face. Like he didn’t watch Eddie almost bleed out under his hands and it’s been haunting him ever since.
