Leo’s day was honestly going great, and this isn't one of his depressing bits where he says that and he just got munched or something. Jason is dropping Viva off at Percy's for a playdate and he gets Jason to himself today! (Gran victoria) He was planning on doing nothing with his day except hanging out with his man, when something happened. He heard a big commotion and the clatter of possibly every breakable item in the world.
Vale, there go his plans. I really thought I would have a normal day.
He got up from his couch to go see what all the ruido was about. As he turned the corner he itemized a list in his head of what it could be.
1. Robot gone rogue. Honestly very possible, and most probable.
2. Festus is hungry. Nevermind, this is the most probable.
3. Viva didn't actually go with Jace, and his mija is destroying the pantry. She is an 8 year-old Hephaestus child.
4. A monster somehow broke through his barrier, and his day will be ruined. Porfa, no.What he saw was not on his list. A mini version of him desperately trying not to break any more plates. He honestly had not been expecting this.

But most other teenagers didn't have a near-death experience in their childhood that left them with the ability to see ghosts. Seems simple enough, until the Princess turns out to be none other than Owen, who is apparently NOT dead like Curt thought.

Summary
There are more secure facilities-- plenty of them. Moscow, Leningrad, hell most municipal buildings in the Soviet Union have a better baseline of security than this. But instead they're here. Someplace so small and out of the way that the only remarkable thing about it is that it's barely a hundred miles from where Owen died.
