Could anything be that simple? For a lunatic like Seongje — probably. He is having fun, he is not having fun. He likes, he doesn’t like. He wants, he doesn’t want. And who knows what the fuck he wants now.
"Miss me? How sweet." Baekjin injects every drop of sarcasm he can muster into the words.
Seongje shows his teeth—not quite a smile, more like an animal giving a warning sign. He gets up, drops the frozen bag, and approaches. His eyebrow is split, dry blood on the side of his face, eye getting more purple by the minute. Baekjin thinks it’s almost pretty in a sick way, then — appalled by the thought — steps back. Out of balance from his mind’s betrayal. Seongje mistakes it for some type of weakness — in a way, he’s right — judging by the way he grins. Baekjin wants to step further again, to stand his ground. But it’s too late. Seongje is no longer coming straight to him. He’s circling him. A hungry dog looking for the best angle of attack.
It was always a game with him.

Summary
The sun didn't rise in Snezhnaya.
Of course, there was a shift from dawn to day, then from dusk to night–signified by the change in shade of the ever-gray skies. However, there was no distinction between the mist of morning and the mist of midnight. It was only ever just mist, dulling the world and impairing the senses. It could be daunting to outsiders who never learned to navigate it.
It reminded Childe of himself, in a way.
He was familiar with the darkness, despite his complicated relationship with it. He hated hearing the abyss whisper seductively in his ear as it promised him blissful numbness and thoughtless carnage whenever there wasn’t anything else to occupy his mind. Or his blades.
However, the whispers went blissfully quiet when music resonated throughout the halls of Zapolyarny and through the canals of his ears.
For as long as a symphony played, Childe almost felt human.
And when it ended, he was reduced to nothing once more.

Hux takes an unsteady breath, unsure what his brain is onto with this dream, then notices a familiar hand just beside his on the table. He stares at it, then follows up an arm to find Ren sitting there staring back. He’s even wearing the same clothes as he had been when he left, a tan jacket over a burgundy university shirt.
“Ren?” Hux says, hearing his voice emerge tight.
Ren doesn’t answer except to look away, a tight look pinching across his face. He seems… embarrassed?
“Mr Organa chose a four-player game,” the other Hux announces, his voice stern and no-nonsense.
Hux glances to Ren again, then the other Ren, who just blinks back, and slowly opens his mouth. “Excuse me?”
