I want to live my own life on my own terms, damn what anyone else thinks I should do.
Void is the last in a line of (morally and ethically questionable) Pleasure Reploids. It didn't hate its directive and job, quite the opposite in fact, but it found itself wanting to be seen as a person, not an object or vessel for pleasure.
It wasn't seeking fame or glory when it decided to join the Maverick Hunters; it was seeking a new start. It had planned to keep its head down, probably be shoved in medical, and simply... be itself and help where it was able.
Of course, that plan went sideways from day one.The early days of Void's time with the Maverick Hunters featuring, but not limited to: Emotionally Constipated Zero, Best Boy X, Best Wingman Alia, and a literal actual cat.

Despite having felled many primal deities and defeated numerous threats to Eorzea, Lysander Morgensonne has been forced to escape to the safety of Ishgard, following the disastrous events of what should have been a celebratory banquet. He now must rebuild the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, as well as protect the city that has taken him in as one of their own. But Warrior of Light or no, there are some battles that even he can't win.
Picking up where "After the Fallen Meteor" ended, this is the Heavensward arc of Lysander's journey, and I'm ridiculously excited to continue telling his story. ...And also to continue treating the game as my own personal dating simulator...

Summary
Scarred both mentally and physically from the Maverick War, disabled and honorably discharged, and bereft of his only true friend, X never learned how to be a person, let alone how to deal with everything he endured to save the earth. A chance encounter with a handful of Mavericks living in Abel City's quarantine zone who show him more kindness than he knows how to process changes the entire trajectory of his lonely life.
Now he's questioning everything he thought he knew about Maverickism, making friends in low places that he didn't know he needed or even wanted, and seeing the deep cracks in the system that he himself helped to build.
How far is X willing to go to protect his newfound family from an outside world that discriminates against reploids?
What will it take for him to be able to heal?
What does he even want out of life, now that he's learning that he's allowed to want things?
And maybe most importantly, is he ever going to get a decent nap?

Summary

Ten years after the end of the Maverick War, X—unarmed, unarmored, disabled, and retired from the Maverick Hunters—takes on a missing person case in what used to be downtown Abel City, until it was destroyed and walled off from the rest of the world. It should have been a simple enough task, but nothing has ever been simple for X. He soon finds himself drawn into a conflict between two groups of Mavericks living in the Abel City quarantine zone, making friends he desperately needs but isn't so sure he wants, pretending to be a version of himself he doesn't hate, and confronting the fact that he has spent so long sacrificing all of himself for a world that gives him nothing in return that he doesn't even know who he is anymore or what he wants out of life.
A nap, mostly, but that missing human isn't going to find himself.
