Summary
Jason swallowed. “She’s everything the world has killed in me.”
“Well,” Leslie hesitated, voice kind, if rough, “they do say we become who would have saved us when we were younger.”Jason Todd never allowed himself to be soft. Not in Crime Alley, not with Batman, not after the pit.
Then one night he finds a newborn abandoned behind a dumpster and it’s both the easiest and hardest choice of his life – because he knows how this story ends. A child left alone in the dark. A body in a cold alley. A city that doesn’t care.
As Gotham’s latest rumors take a terrifying turn and the past comes clawing at his heels, Jason isn’t looking to be a hero. He just refuses to let history repeat itself.Part of a series dedicated to the Batkids' kids, this is a STAND-ALONE fic.

Bookmarker's Notes
One of the best.
"“I’m taking her to the orphanage as soon as possible.”
“Too bad, sugar,” Tracy pouted, taking a peek at the newborn who was, thankfully enough, calming down once again. “Big, bad, Red Hood with a baby in his arms, ain’t that a sight for sore eyes.”
She fanned herself with a hand, pretending to swoon, and Jason wondered for a second how his life had turned so differently from anyone else’s in Crime Alley."

Summary
“What do you want, my son?” Talia asked him. “What do you truly want?”
And when Jason pushed aside his obsession with Bruce, the answer was so clear. He knew exactly what he wanted. He knew what he’d always wanted, ever since he was that little street rat who spent money he needed for food on making himself look clean. Because he’d needed to look clean and presentable to get into the public libraries. Because they wouldn’t have let a dirty homeless kid touch the books.
“I want to go to college.”
And Talia had made that happen for him.
(AU where, at the end of his League of Assassins training, Jason decides to go to Metropolis for college instead of going back to Gotham for revenge. Things spiral from there. The title is so sarcastic by the way. There’s nothing regular about Jason Todd.)

Summary
A blind man and a mute man meet in a church. Somehow, they make the friendship work.
Jason's ultimatum ends in the way he least expected it: with a batarang to the neck courtesy of Batman, and his murderer laughing as he bled out. Even though he survived, the damage was done. Mute, he decided to take his leave and wound up in Hell's Kitchen, New York.
Enter Matt Murdock; blind lawyer by day and the vigilante known as Daredevil by night. Some would say his desire to help others would be what would get him killed one day, and his track record did back up that sentiment. However, that doesn't stop him from befriending a broken but kindred spirit.

Bookmarker's Notes
“I thought what I was doing was right. But all I got in the end was a knife to the throat by the person I thought I could trust the most in order to save someone that deserved death.”
“It’s him or me!” he had told Bruce.
His father hadn’t chosen Jason.
“If that’s not my purpose, then what is?”
“Don’t let your purpose be tied to someone else,” Matt urged him. “Think about what you wanted before and what you want now. Don’t think of whatever this person wanted from you.”
If he wasn’t Jason Todd, wasn’t Robin, wasn’t the Red Hood, then who was he and what did he want?
“I don’t know what I want,” He finally typed.
Murdock squeezed his shoulder. “Then it looks like you have some thinking to do.”
