Death was a fleeting feeling. Mortals came and went, tossed into the ring of reincarnation after their time in paradise was up. Whatever may their belief systems be, their fate remained the same.

One day, Mitsuri comes home with pink and green hair dye. Kaigaku pretends to hate it. He can't say no to her, though, and suffers through it for her benefit, as she enthusiastically declares: ‘’Now you’re officially part of team love pillar!’’
He does it grudgingly, but when he’s in bed that night, he fingers it, a little pleased. It’s obviously visible now that he’s hers. That he belongs to her family. It makes him feel warm inside. For the first time in forever, Kaigaku belongs.
