    When she sat on the tube, all she wanted to do was to yell at him, get the frustration out of her system and hope that he would feel at least a little guilty. Now, however, a new idea forms, pressing to the forefront of her mind.

    "My doctor is making me go through heat without any meds so he can do proper blood tests until he finds a replacement, but," she tries to sound matter of factly, "apparently the test results will be more accurate if I sleep with an alpha while going through heat. So," Kate clears her throat, the words coming out before she can think about them twice. "Since this is your fault, you have to fix it. I need you to have sex with me when my heat starts."

    OR

    When Kate's suppressants stop working and her physician advises her to go through heat unmedicated, suggesting intercourse with an alpha to get more accurate blood test results, asking Anthony Bridgerton to have sex with her is the last thing she intends to do.

    Until it isn't.

    “I was hoping not to wake you. Actually, I was hoping you would do it,” she muttered, shaking her head. “I thought that was why we were here. But then you just kept walking and walking, and I couldn’t fucking take it anymore.”
