“Why the fuck would you care about me, I’m the reason Devon is dead. Maybe you forgot that little fact,” Noah hisses out. Connor shakes his head, watching Noah getting more agitated.
“No, you’re not, I don’t believe it.”
“That’s not my problem, is it?” Noah pushes against Connor and tries to walk away but Connor doesn’t let him.
“You would never hurt them,” Connor says with conviction. Noah flinches and stumbles out of his grip.
“What the hell are you on about?” Noah bites out, his hands clenched into fists, his breathing heavy. “What would you know?”
“You love them.” Connor is certain of this, even after years of not speaking Noah still looked at Devon the same way he did when they were kids. Like they’re the sun and Noah would rather be blinded than look away.

“P’Kim,” Porchay says, still cool, but not as cold as before. If Kim could believe his carefully squashed hopes, it might have been called hopeful.
“Porchay,” he replies and then falls silent. He resists the urge to ball his hands into fists but can’t stop his fingers from running across his thumbs. A look past Porchay gives him sight of Kinn giving him a thumbs up, he rolls his eyes, but it still makes something warm rise in his chest.
Porchay is fiddling with the bottom of his shirt as he looks at Kim. He seems to be thinking about something, he squares his shoulders when he reaches a decision. “I asked P’Khun to put us together, so we can.” He hesitates, “Talk.”
Talk.
Talk with Porchay. It’s everything he’s been hoping for and everything he’s been dreading.

Summary
Kim’s legs tremble with the effort of holding himself up, his pants and briefs are a mess around his ankles that neither of them care about right now. Not when Kim’s skin contrasts so beautifully against the black shiny polish of the piano he’s lying on.
Chay could wax poetically about that contrast for hours. Starting with the way it makes Kim’s skin seem even more golden that it usually does.

Chay's fingers curl into the collar of Kim’s leather jacket as he pulls him closer. “You’re going to take me home, to your place. And in the morning, you’re going to get me coffee and then we’re going to talk about this.” Chay pats his chest as he says it, like Kim needs any more convincing to know the weight behind those words.
Or Kim's use of a terrible pick-up line makes a boy cry, who makes him talk about his feelings. In between he stares at the boy he loves, falls a little deeper and realises that he really should buy groceries more often.
