Summary
Buffy's mom is dating this new guy, Ted. He's nice, polite, and has a good job. He also has a tendency to fly into uncontrollable fits of rage whenever Buffy does something he doesn't like. Everything in Buffy's life feels like it's falling apart and Buffy has no power to stop it. All she can do is hide out in the library with her sister so that they don't have to spend any more time at home with Ted than they already do.
Faith's living with Ms. Calendar. She took her in after Faith ran away from home. Ms. Calendar is dating a new guy, the school librarian. He's British and fancy and seems nice enough but Faith doesn't trust him. She knows from experience—years of having to put up with her mom's shitty boyfriends—that even the nicest seeming guys could be putting up a front. Ms. Calendar may be a smart lady, but Faith knows that she doesn't have the experience Faith has at identifying creeps. So she's going to make sure this guy's safe. And if it means hanging out in the library, the place where Buffy Summers, the hottest girl Faith has ever laid eyes upon, seems to basically be living in nowadays, well, that's just an unexpected perk.

Faith walked across the room to her, dark eyes sharp and searching. "You're hurt."
"Nothing I can't handle." Buffy replied, pushing her away. She tried to take a step, but her legs wobbled and she almost fell forward. Faith's hand shot out and steadied her.
"Yeah, you look fine." Faith said dryly. Her grip lingered a moment too long, her thumb brushing Buffy's wrist before she stepped back.
Buffy cleared her throat, trying to focus on something other than how warm Faith's hand had been. "Let's go. Before the rest of this ceiling decides to join us.”

Somehow she doesn’t think Evan will mind. Ever since he got his license a few months ago, he is willing to drive anywhere for almost any reason. Plus, it has been a while since they’ve seen each other. And he owes her for picking his very drunk self up from Derek Lisland’s homecoming party. Maddie was even nice enough not to mention it to their parents.
Feeling justified, Maddie calls her brother. He answers after their fourth ring, with a mumbled sound that was probably supposed to be a hello.

Summary
All should be well for Adora and Catra. They have successfully escaped from that netherworld between dimensions—defeated the cruel magical entity known as Chasm, and returned Angella to her family. And they are together now, back on Etheria. Safe from Chasm in a universe where peace still reigns.
But regardless of how she tries, or how Catra attempts to soothe her, Adora cannot shake her unease. Images of Chasm and wounded loved ones continue to torture Adora in vivid nightmares, nightmares that cannot be treated or willed away. Nightmares that force Adora to wonder whether Chasm dealt Adora some kind of lifelong curse, back before her escape from Chasm's dreamworld.
And worst of all, even with a dimension of separation between them...Adora cannot quell the fear that Chasm might someday return. Return, and again seek She-Ra's power for herself.

After Daniel's death, Maddie adjusts to their new family dynamic. She bit her lip to keep from letting any emotions slip out, careful not to add to her parents’ sadness. It had become a habit. She’d mastered it now, the inside corner where her mouth met her cheek perpetually inflamed and scarred. She hardly ever bled anymore. She hardly ever cried, at least where anyone could see. It burned, and her eyes burned with unshed tears, but it was better than letting it show. Better than making her parents worry about her.
I listened to "As a Child" by Madeline the Person and couldn't stop thinking about Maddie Buckley's childhood.
