This is an AU story based on Freier Fall characters.
Marc and Kay are in love - except Marc doesn't remember it.
Detective Marc Borgmann wakes up in the hospital and the first person he sees is his colleague, Kay Engel, who is acting all friendly. Too friendly. Which is strange because last time Marc checks, he can't stand the guy. It soon becomes clear to Marc that he and Kay are partners. How did that happen? And why does Kay Engel keep looking at him like a kicked puppy? So many questions, so little straightforward answers. Marc might have cheated death, but he lost the memory of the last 15 months.
Kay joined Marc's LKA team more than a year ago. Fighting for acceptance in a new team is always hard; when your bad reputation precedes you, then adding one or two secrets on top, it’s an absolute hell. But Kay is never one to shy away from challenges, so when Marc Borgmann offers his friendship and partnership, Kay decides he should take the offer further...

In 2037, a single father moves to Los Angeles in look for better job opportunities. Eddie Diaz, army veteran and newly firefighter, went to the 118 because it was the only station that didn't follow the normal 50% of personnel being androids.
It turns out the only android there ended up meaning to him more than he ever thought he would. BK-400, newest firefighter assistance model, named Buck by his coworkers, seemed to be more than just wires and blue blood.
