Summary
By the skin of their teeth the Phantom Thieves cheated death, though not without a price.
A guilt-ridden Makoto decides she must spend a week at Leblanc by Ren's bedside, intent on helping him recover from the trauma (mental or otherwise) of that damned interrogation room.
But the more he spends time with her in this dingy little coffee shop, it becomes increasingly clear to Ren that he isn't the only one who hasn't yet recovered from their lingering trauma.

It was Mira who finally decided that enough was enough. When Zoey's knot finally went down enough for the alpha to pull out, and Rumi stubbornly decided to shower alone instead of with her mates, the omega confronted Zoey.
"We need to talk about Rumi," she said, hands lathered in shampoo as she cleaned Zoey's hair.
Her girlfriend's tail, which was spraying water everywhere with each wag, suddenly stopped. "Er, what about her?"
"You know exactly what," Mira growled, pulling on Zoey's ear.
Zoey yelped. "Okay, okay! Warn a girl before you do that, jeez."
Mira rubbed at the base of the ear as an apology, and she felt Zoey lean into her touch. "So Rumi…" she trailed off, letting Zoey speak.
"Has some trouble finishing."
"I'd say a lot of trouble," Mira said, nudging Zoey under the water to rinse her hair and fur, "but I'm just the omega who begs to be knotted by her every time we have sex."
