He couldn’t stand looking at the memories, the highlights of his life that filled it with color and awe. Now, he was nothing more than an empty husk. He looked in the mirror. His cheekbones seemed sharper than they were last time. If it weren’t for the makeup on his face, embellishing his lips and eyes, the red rims of his teary eyes would be exposed, and the dark circles that stained his porcelain face would stand out more. He looked at his dresser that was now vacant. Sanemi would leave him flowers every show he attended. Now, there was nothing.

The other man paced around the bodies, both hands on his hips, scoffing. "Could've been on a diet." This got the other man to step towards him, his hand pointing at the dead body of one of their comrades.
"Why are you denying this? This is clearly a human's work!"
"What kind of fucking human can do this all alone?!" The man snapped. "That's impossible! We had a whole team of people surrounding that base, there's no way in fucking hell a human did this! If what you're saying is true, then this human has to of have insane training because there's no fucking way!"
There was silence. The man that brought the body in lowered his hand and stared at his leader. "What about him? The Hashira we failed to find."

Summary
Pet Au for Kimetsu no Yaiba. The basic concept is that demons have been "domesticated" and are kept as something between exotic pets and slaves. The whole point is abuse, hurt/comfort, and pain, and picking up the pieces of very broken people. I've messed with demon biology a lot, and modern settings will be common. Any characters are fair game to be the "victims" here, so expect lots of Demon Au stuff for the human characters too.
