It was getting smaller, too hard to breathe in, and the roof was starting to collapse. He heard the cracking and watched as bits of the building fell all around him. His body was screaming at him, telling him to run, but he was frozen, unable to move a muscle. He screamed as the last chunk of roof fell on top of him and squeezed his eyes shut. A gentle hand landed on his shoulder, startling him. He looked up and his vision was filled with hair and skin and eyes. He knew those eyes.
