Summary
Four years after the defeat of Zhan Tiri, the Dark Kingdom is finally making political moves to rebuild to their once former glory. Dropped suddenly into a status of nobility, Varian has to play the part of dutiful court member to support his ancestral home--which becomes instantly harder when Hugo, Varian's sworn rival and Ingvarr's Royal Engineer, shows up and causes Problems.
To prevent a controversy that would destroy the Dark Kingdom's name, the two are forced to spend time together. But years of bitter bickering and brawling won't go away overnight, especially if the reason for their fighting may actually be rooted in something a little more...tender.
But Varian would rather die than admit that out loud. And spending this much time with Hugo might just kill him.

Huh he can't actually do anything without his alchemy he's a 4'7 malnourished teen- O hes. Oh not cass. Oh yeah Eugene talk some sense into him. AAAA writing is so so good, Omg him and Rapunzel am I stupid for not realizing it's literally about a labyrinth? Omg yes ANGST and it's own unique lore separate to the show?
