Summary
An unknown mutation was reported on a remote space station near the Horizon Lunar Colony, some sort of genetic experimentation gone wrong, and all communication was cut shortly afterwards. On the cutting edge of genetic research, Dr. Moira O'Deorain was recruited as a leading scientist to investigate the anomaly. Overwatch has their hands in everything, so it was hardly a shock to see the organization sent their own scientist to tag along.

Moira held the beaker into the air, swirling it. “The Youth are terrifying. Glad I never was one.”
That made Angela pause and half turn to watch the geneticist’s back with a narrow-eyed, amused half-grin. “Pardon me, Dr. O’Deorain, but did you just make a joke?”
This time she angled her head so Angela could see her profile, and the smallest smile that rested at the corner of her mouth. “I am as human as you, Dr. Ziegler.”
Update as of September 2024: This fic IS NOT abandoned. But i have had A Lot Of Life happen. Working on the next chapter as I can.

Will just wished that Max didn't name their plan Operation Wax.
