    Oww, Peter thought blandly as he shifted- no, scratch that, tried to shift- onto his back but quickly decided that wasn’t in his best interest. Voices, both his own and not, swam in his head like a wave beating against his forehead.

    “They’re coming here because of me, right? Because I’m Peter Parker? So cast a new spell, make everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Make everyone forget me.”

    “It wouldn’t be enough. Your very presence would destabilize this universe.”

    Peter finally managed to roll himself over onto his back, ignoring the sharp pain that shot through his spine at the movement enough to sit up and look around. He was in an alley which thankfully held no occupants save himself and the trash littering the ground.

    “But I can.. I can send you away. To a place where there is no Peter Parker. No Spiderman.”

    “Wait kid!” And in that moment it came to him, “What if, what if we don’t forget you? What if we send you away?” Strange desperately called out.

    “Mr.Strange… ” Peter had a sympathetic look in his eyes and Strange hated it. It wasn’t his life that was being destroyed, so why was Peter looking at him like the victim.

    “Listen, I can send you somewhere there is no Peter Parker. There are an infinite number of universes, I can find one.” Strange said, more to himself than to Peter. And he knew this was dark magic, he knew he shouldn’t, but he didn’t care.

    “I’ll send you there. Until I can fix this. Until I can bring you back.”

     

    Or: Dr. Strange sends Peter to an alt universe where there are no Avengers, but they do have a thing called a Justice League. And sure Peter is homeless, but that doesn't stop him from being Spider-Man.

    Right. He needed to focus. This couldn’t wait.
    “What’s wrong, Little Wing?” Dick’s tone softened, as if sensing that Jason was teetering on the edge. He always knew. Always could feel it from a mile away.
    “Dick, I think… I think you have a son.”

    Peter felt himself falling into the abyss, a faint panic creeping in. He let his eyelids close, surrendering to the darkness. His heartbeat slowed, and an eerie calmness washed over his thoughts. The last image that flickered through his mind was May’s lifeless eyes.
    Peter hoped he wouldn’t wake up again.

    Peter just wants someone to acknowledge his existence, to look him in the eye and say "Peter Parker exists". So when he tries to tell his friends, team red, his name, its not surprising when it all goes to shit. Damn his Parker luck and damn Doctor Strange.

    Though maybe getting sent to another universe isn't all bad, maybe he can build a new life for himself. One with his real name and this cute guy that visits the bar he works at
