Grian stood up, smiling, putting his jacket on and slinging his satchel over his shoulder. Impulse smiled back, giving a small wave."You too, Grian. But uhm.."
Grian's face morphed from happy to concerned, "What?"
"Just-" Impulse sighed, "Just be careful, okay? With all the murders happening at Betês.. I don't want to see your face on the news, okay?"
Grian sighed aswell, more lightly, "I'll be fine, Impulse. I'll talk to you soon."
Impulse nodded and smiled, wishing him one final goodbye and watching Grian walk out the door.

Mumbo was content to live a normal boring life. He didn’t want to be a villain, or a hero he just wanted to do good. He just wanted to be the person young him pictured he could be.. but apparently doing good in this world makes him the bad guy. It’s never black and white or even grey, it’s always painfully red.
Always red..
That’s a really long tangent that leads the same question. Mumbo always wanted to stay away from villainy so, how has he ended up as one of the most well known ones in the city, and why is he self monologuing while standing about one foot away from a Watcher pointing a gun at him?
Or: Mumbo is an escaped lab experiment just trying to get by and do good. The world said no and suddenly he’s the key to taking down a corrupt government and the centre of everyone’s attention. Including a very particular clone.
