Summary
He plops down on the couch again, sets his elbows on his knees, and looks Eddie in the eye. “Okay. Soooo,” he says. “You’re asking me to marry you.”
“Yes,” Eddie says.
“On a Wednesday,” Buck says.
“Yep.”
“As a friend.”
Eddie’s nose scrunches. “Ye-ep. Just about covers it.”
“Why?”

Summary
If there’s one thing to know about Buck, it’s that he never rejects a call from Eddie. Ever. No matter what he’s doing, no matter where he is—he always picks up when Eddie calls.
Well… almost always.
There’s a first time for everything, and this is the first time Buck has even thought about hitting the big red button on his screen instead of the green one.
When his phone lights up, his hand is still wrapped around his cock, head tipped back against the pillows, some random porn video playing on his iPad in the background—more out of habit than any actual interest in the content.
He blinks at the screen.
Eddie.

Summary
“I just don’t see what the big deal is,” Chimney says, joining them at the table. “Why don’t you just go on the trip, Buck? Take Eddie. We can get your shifts covered, it’s, what—three nights?”
“The big deal,” Buck says in exasperation, slamming his fork down, “is that it’s a couples retreat. For couples.”
“And?” Chimney raises his eyebrows, still not buying it.
“And I entered the giveaway when Tommy and I were still together!” Buck snaps. ”I don’t want t-to—it would just feel weird, okay? It’s supposed to be all—like, romantic. Flower petals on the bed and stuff.”
Buck and Eddie take a romantic getaway. Platonically.

Summary
Eddie recognizes the shirt Buck is wearing instantly. It’s his shirt. He remembers throwing it in the station laundry weeks ago, one of his older ones, soft from the wear. He stares for a couple of minutes
Buck notices. “You good?” he asks. His eyes catch Eddie’s.
Eddie clears his throat. “That my shirt?”
Buck glances down at it. He lifts the hem like he’s checking. “Huh. Guess it is.”
“You guess?”
Buck grins, slow and shameless. “Well, it smelled like you. Thought the universe was telling me something.”
Eddie raises an eyebrow. “Telling you what? To do my laundry?”
“No,” Buck says, and there’s a flicker of something more in his voice.
OR
Eddie thinks there's something off about the way Buck is acting, but can't put his finger on it.
