Summary
A random villain-of-the-week makes Robert late for work. It's only by a few minutes, yet the encounter that hardly lasted a few seconds instills a sudden chill in Robert's bones. Its persistence is matched only by the Z-Team's stubbornness as they force their dispatcher to join them in activities they think will warm him up.
But none of it matters if Robert can't learn to believe he'll ever be warm again... or that he deserves the warmth this team brings him.

Summary
From her mother, she learned the importance of making her own way, of charting her own path, even when it means standing apart from others.
From her mentor, she learned to be a survivor, to see the vicissitudes of the world they are without embellishment, and to face them well prepared.
From her father, she learned… From him-
From her step-mother, she learned to carry suffering and disgrace with dignity and elegance, and to let sorrow be her teacher when it could not be avoided.

Summary
The Jedi Order had a secret. While the main requirement for being a Jedi was being Force sensitive, there was a secondary trait that many Jedi shared, and would be grounds to consider even the weakest of candidates.
Many of the Jedi Order were beings long thought myths and legends. They couldn't entirely explain it. Sometimes, it was just that the blood lingered in their bloodline and came out strongly in them, possibly because of Force sensitivity. Sometimes they couldn't trace a source. And sometimes, sometimes they just were turned that way due to the unfortunate situations they found themselves in.
But they didn't tell anyone outside the Order about this. Why would they? The galaxy, as a whole, already had so many misconceptions about the Jedi. Even those who were grateful to the Jedi for their work had some small misunderstandings.
This is the story of how Jedi found people they could actually trust.

Time travelers who plan to kill Superman never account for Martha Kent in their plans. She may not be the World's Finest, but she's a mother with a shotgun, and all told that might be scarier.

Summary
By far the strangest member of Odysseus’ crew was a man named Danny Motta, who spoke oddly and might or might not be some kind of prophet. Also he kept calling him Dyssy.
