"Will you marry me?"

When Soap is injured in the field, he makes Ghost a proposal. Ghost humours him, if only to keep his mind off his bleeding for a while.

“He promised,” Simon gasps, voice wrecked and half-muffled by the floor. “He promised me, Price. Said he was fine. Said he was—said he was trying.”
The words run dry again, replaced by a terrible silence—only broken by the uneven pull of Simon’s breath and the low hum of the barracks’ heating unit kicking on.
Price lowers his head, jaw clenched tight enough to ache.
“I know,” he says, nearly a whisper. “I know, son.”

Summary
The most annoying thing about the weird rumours that go around about Ghost, is that some of them are true. It's almost cliche to admit that he likes violence and pain... likes it a lot more than he should. Enough that sometimes he gets too worked up to wait until the mission's over to sort himself out. It's never been a problem. Not until Soap walks in on him. Then it's a big problem, but maybe not for the reasons either of them were expecting.
OR: Soap learns something about himself.

Summary
Ghost isn’t a fool, he knows what a familiar is (knows where babies come from too, if that’ll earn him a gold star). He understands the concept and the execution of it, even dabbled in the magical theory behind it when he was starting out. What he doesn’t know, frustratingly enough, is for what reason under the sun there is one perched merrily in his garden.
Or Ghost comes to terms with the familiar that he didn't want but definitely wanted him.
