Summary
“Your fucking heart stopped,” Buck says, wild. He looks at Bobby, hooked up to at least four different machines, and his mind spins with everything that might be wrong. “Fifty eight seconds you weren’t breathing, Bobby—”
“I’m sorry,” Bobby smiles softly, and holds his arm out for Buck. He’s crying a little. “I’m alright now, kid. Come here.”
Buck crashes into him, fingers digging tightly into Bobby’s hospital gown, choking on his breath. He’s alive, he’s okay. He’s hugging Buck.
—everyone survives the lab. eddie comes home.
8x15 fix it.

Summary
He’s big, is the first thing Eddie notices about him. Not just his body - though his shoulders are broad and his biceps are thick - but his presence, too. He’s so commanding that he’s impossible to miss; he draws all of Eddie’s attention even as he sits silent and motionless, like he’s trying to disappear. He has a halo of curls on his head and a shock of pink above his left eye.
Angel, Eddie thinks, and something twists uncomfortably inside his chest.
Or: Eddie is a priest, and Buck is a firefighter, and once their worlds collide nothing will ever be the same again.

Summary
It unravels, somewhere between a strawberry milkshake and a burger that drips grease onto the Formica table, when Christopher says:
“I have to go to church on Wednesday.”
Eddie pauses with a fry halfway to his mouth and dripping in ketchup, and glances over the table at him. “On Wednesday?” he repeats. “For what?”
Chris shrugs one shoulder. “There’s a-a healing service.”
Eddie slowly sets the fry back down on his tray as Christopher takes a bite of his burger. “Healing service,” Eddie says. He’s trying not to jump to conclusions— really, he is, both because he wants to give his parents the benefit of the doubt and because if this is going where he thinks it’s going, he might actually lose his mind.
“Yeah,” Christopher says. “It might be a good idea.”
or: eddie goes to texas and finds that the situation is worse than he'd thought.

Summary
“Eddie,” Buck breathes, laughing humorlessly, his voice wet and thick. “If we sat here and-- and went through the list of things I want…” his hands gesture aimlessly. “We’d-- be here all night.”
Eddie nods, catching Buck’s eyes again. “Maybe-- we start with mine, then.”
The space between them feels charged with static, like the second before the thunder finally rumbles.
-----
Eddie’s finally choosing to be better-- finally choosing joy. He just needs a push or two in the right direction, first.
