“Give a man a moment to enjoy the view, Harrington.”
“What do you—oh. Oh.” Steve was wearing a white Henley, turned translucent and clinging with rain. Eddie’s hellfire club shirt was the same – outlining every inch of Eddie’s stomach, moving in a mouth-watering way as Eddie wrapped his arms around Steve’s neck, pulled their faces so close that Eddie’s hot breath ghosting over Steve’s lips was all he could take.
Eddie and Steve make it to San Francisco.

Summary
The first time he hears Dustin and Mike mention the name Eddie Munson he almost walks into a VHS display at work.
Steve wants to ask them how Eddie’s doing but then his face from that last party flashes into his head and he always clams up. If he was Eddie he’d want nothing to do with him and rightly so.
Instead Steve teasingly complains about how much time they spend with Eddie and that’s as far as it goes.

Summary
Eddie doesn’t know why the fuck he’s here. He’s not some sort of white knight, far from a savior, and advises against hero complexes. But Robin had called and said that Steve got too drunk, couldn’t drive himself home and definitely couldn’t stay at her place since her mom would be back early tomorrow morning… so Eddie had just said I’ll be there. Like it was nothing. Like it made all the sense in the world for Robin to call him and not someone else. As if he and Steve were close friends and not the mere acquaintances they considered each other to be.

“You ate the key.”
“I said I was sorry!” Robin exclaims. “You two just looked so cute on the floor together and I remembered the handcuffs in Eddie’s room and I just wanted—” she halts her rambling, glancing between Eddie and Steve. “I thought it’d be funny.”
