Maybe that is why he had dropped the bowl, and maybe that is why all the batter is spilled over his lap, and maybe that is why Neil now lays on the kitchen tiles with corpse-bones and gooey honey marrow and skin that cannot piece itself back together today.
Or Neil tries to make Andrew pancakes. The batter ends up all over the floor (and Neil), because sometimes standing is hard. Andrew cleans him up.
