Summary
Evan Buckley's car breaks down in the middle of a relentless blizzard on his journey back into the past. Stranded and shivering, he clutches his young daughter to keep her warm, fearing for their lives. The wind howls and snow piles up around them as he despairs. Meanwhile, on one of his last laps through the deserted ski resort on his snowmobile, Tommy Kinard thinks he’s hearing things when a faint cry pierces the snowy silence. It sounds like a baby. Doubting his ears, he follows the sound and navigates the treacherous terrain until he spots the silhouette of a car buried in the snow. When Tommy reaches the car and discovers its owner, a flood of memories comes rushing back. It's Evan Buckley, the boy he shared a deep connection with more than ten years ago during a fleeting summer. They had been inseparable, but then Evan moved away with his parents, leaving Tommy with bittersweet memories.
