Chapter Text
Damian tilted his head to the side as he took in the position his son was currently in. He had just gotten home from class and Tim had been supposed to babysit Danny but that did not seem to be what happened.
“Richard, why is my son hanging from my ceiling fan? And where is Timothy?” He asked, setting down his bag before he reached up and took Danny from the ceiling fan and held him close. “Did he fall asleep up there?”
“Somehow someone gave Tim a decaf coffee full of sleeping pills so he’s knocked out in your bed. And being the responsible adult that I am, I came to check on my sweet little nephew at just the right time and decided I needed to be the one to take care of Danny until you got back from class,” Dick said with a smug smile from where he sat on the couch. “We were playing acrobat until he fell asleep up there and once I was sure he was secure, I just let him stay up there.”
“Richard Grayson, you cannot just leave a child hanging from the ceiling fan,” Damian hissed, glaring at his eldest brother, clutching his head to his chest.
“Hm Daddy,” Danny said sleepily, wrapping his little arms around Damian’s neck and pressing his head close. “I missed you. School is boring why do we gotta go?” He mumbled. Damian chuckled and pressed a kiss to his son’s head.
“It’ll be more fun eventually,” Damian said before he pointed at Dick and then pointed at the door. Dick scowled and stomped out before Damian went over to where Tim was knocked out. “Would you like to finish your nap with your Uncle Timmy?” He asked, pressing a kiss to Danny’s head.
Danny nodded tiredly before Damian set in bed beside Damian’s brother before he smiled and shook his head. He didn’t know how things were going to go with Danny but everything was looking up for them. Danny was in school, he was getting to be a vigilante with his dad and they were doing good.
Danny was finally getting the childhood he deserved and Damian was beyond pleased that he was getting to help give him that opportunity. He smiled and brushed Danny’s hair out of his face as the boy cuddled up to his uncle and let out a soft snore. They were going to have a great life together, that was for sure.
