Summary
While investigating the happenings at La Louisiane, Hans Landa comes away with more than Bridget von Hammersmark's shoe.
In the hours that follow, Hans is confronted by the strange, foreign emotions he supposes one must grapple with when experiencing personal loss. Try as he might not to get sidetracked from the assignment that awaits him that night, it becomes all too easy when he's given the opportunity to reunite with Hellstrom so soon.
And all too devastating upon the realization that the reunion may be significantly worse than losing Hellstrom in the first place.

Summary
It's two years after the first documented outbreak of the disease. A 16-year-old girl has fled from her hometown in the city to the nearby countryside, hoping to escape from the zombies that hide among the city's winding alleyways. A chance encounter, a secret, new bonds, and unexpected loss might not save humanity. But hey, this'll all be over in a few years anyways. Right?
This is a work-in-progress novel I've been working on for two years now. It's grown and changed a lot while I've been working on it, and I'm thankful to all of my friends who've helped me get through the first several drafts. While it might be a good while before I finish this, I hope people enjoy watching it grow :)
Content warnings will be listed in the notes above each chapter. Overall, this is a *semi*realistic zombie apocalypse novel. There's gonna be some spilled guts.

★☆☆☆☆
“Never, ever, in my 56 years on Earth, 43 of them spent here, in the heart of Gotham, have I ever been more disappointed in a fast food joint. The service? Abysmal. The food? Undercooked and dry. The store? Understaffed and unclean. Don't even get me STARTED on the employees! The cashier, whose upside down name tag read “WIT,” presented himself to be quite the opposite as he was clearly high. The cook with two toned bangs swore every curse known to man into the “shitty-ass-fucking patties” and throwing floor fries at the cashier. The manager, some loud-mouthed blonde kept smiling at me with this threatening look in her eyes. The bus boy, a small fellow with these creepy yellow eyes, who was clearly too young to be working there, and muttered an even larger array of curses directed at his coworkers as he passed by. When I tried to call the store owner to complain, it went straight to voicemail. Overall the experience was the most awful, unenjoyable, and overwhelming hour of my life. If I could rate it less than one star, I would.”
