I'm not really sure what to put here, I just thought of it and decided to write it here 🤷🏽
It's a horror story that involves erotic horror and such, not exactly scary but more like disturbing. The MC's mind is really strong, he can induce illusions as a form of protection in his mind, so that's what we'll be seeing when he's injected with an organism to manipulate his mind.
This was based off of Deliriums realm in the Sandman and also Dante's Inferno.
The story is set in a world with superpowers (that name sounds cringy, gonna change later, maybe). In this book, the villain is currently trying to take over someone's mind with an organism to brainwash them, so the MC's mind is setting up a way to protect itself from it

A shot reverberates through the clearing, and he flinches. Nobody breathes. You could cut the quiet with a fucking butterknife. Eddie releases a shuddering breath and pats down his chest, hands shaking so bad that he probably wouldn’t feel it even if he were hit. He falls to his knees when they come back clean.
Nancy stands there, gun jerked high with wide eyes. She pants, swallowing thickly before fury breaks her calm. “Eddie?! What the hell are you doing-!”
“IT’S STEVE!!” Eddie shouts. His arms shake as the Demowolf bleeds sluggishly behind him. “IT’S STEVE! IT’S STEVE GODDAMN'T!!”

Something in Scott's eyes tightened. The vampire took another half step forward, more than ever looking like he was holding something in deep inside.
"The animals are dying," Scott spelled out. "We can't feed off of them anymore."
Avid furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, before it hit. His mouth gaped open as fear struck a chord inside him and sent shivers running down his spine.
There were no more animals. The vampires were out of food.

Avid is a vampire hunter. Scott is a vampire. Obviously both hate the other from the start. But strange things happen in the woods of Oakhurst. After unlikely circumstances bring the two closer (in more ways than one), their rivalries start to unravel.
Maybe Scott isn't such a bloodthirsty monster, and can even be pretty nice sometimes--and maybe he's hot, but that's a different topic. Maybe Avid isn't such an annoying nuisance, but someone with unexpected depths and personality (having a pretty face certainly helps).
Maybe the two who've been fated to be against each other since the beginning don't have to be enemies. Just maybe.OR
Scott + Avid are gay for each other, and Scott has trauma now (his backstory wasn't sad enough)
