    He resists the urge to snap his teeth at her fingers only by the fact that he’s spent years refusing to have any part of Joke in his mouth and he’s not about to ruin that streak now.

    “One, your bloodline is cursed,” Shōta replies.  “Two, I neither want nor need a child bride.”

    His quirk was nothing like he had expected it to be. And it didn’t help that he had almost killed a classmate with it. Izuku swears it was an accident, but no one believed him. At least his mother would, he hoped. But she too didn’t believe him.

    ‘A villain’, 'A Killer', he was called, many a times. They said that even his soulmate would hate him. Or that maybe his soulmate was also a villain. But he had always, always wanted to be a hero. Could he become one, with a villainous quirk that almost killed someone when it appeared?

    Notes: Aizawa Shouta is 26 years old in the canon time-frame.
    This Midoriya Izuku is 21 years old.

    The final war is over. All for one and Shigaraki are a thing of the past now. Everyone has scars that will be forever reminders but they all are alive and fine. All might having kept his promise to Inko to make Izuku the number one hero, passes on. Everyone thinks it was a good win, given who they fought against.

    Izuku does not think so, finding out All Might has died is the last straw and Izuku snaps. He is done with being a hero and has disappeared.

    When Izuku woke up screaming, eyes haunted and the sparkle in them gone, Aizawa swore that he would do anything to bring back life and sparkle into those emerald eyes. But his problem child has been missing for the past 5 years and he is intent on staying missing.

    Wanting a break himself Aizawa retires from his hero work and moves back to his hometown with his newly adopted daughter Eri, he does not expect to find his problem child there.

    Izuku is deeply disturbed by the events of the final war, and so is Aizawa. They lose touch for 5 years but an unexpected move on Aizawa's part and a hurt kitten bring them back into each other's lives.

    Come along for the ride as they heal together and find a home and a home in each other.
