He sinks against the backrest and drinks the view in: Dick’s skin is glowing, the bump of his belly more noticeable to the eye, a soft swell that can be seen through the fabric of his clothes.He’s not wearing his pyjamas, not really. It’s one of Bruce’s old t-shirts, long enough to reach his thighs. Bruce can still catch a glimpse of his hips — tender, round curves that he follows with his gaze until a sudden realisation settles in his mind.
He has missed so much, prioritising Gotham while Dick needed him the most.

Staring at the empty Gotham streets, the ones terrorized briefly by the man underneath the red hood, Bruce was aware enough to recognize the silence as impending rather than peaceful. Hidden between the noiseless city was the violence of a bloodied, tortured relationship that'd torn him from the inside out.
It was nice, though, feeling Clark's subtle brush against his shoulder. Smelling the soft, coconut shampoo from his hair. The distraction was enough for his shoulders to relax from their hunched stature, a deep breath escaping his lips.
