Summary
Takes place one year after The Last Jedi. Some elements from TROS (planets, characters and some plot beats), manipulated a little or a lot to suit my version of the story. Expect appearances from past and present characters and conflict within our two opposing sides; the Resistance and the First Order, as the galaxy at large comes to terms with the complications and consequences caused by the dyad
Rey and Kylo are very conflicted over the events in Snoke’s Throne Room so prepare for a very slow-burn romance, angst and humour as they sort out their feelings over a lengthy resolution to their epic star-crossed drama.
This is everything I would have loved to see in TROS to close the circle of the Skywalker Saga and resolve Light and Dark, albeit with a lot more introspection than would be permissible for a big-budget Hollywood blockbuster. But it’s Star Wars and my two favourite characters and I can’t help digging into their feelings as events unfold. Written in the third person, mostly from the morally confused and increasingly enamoured perspectives of Rey and Kylo.

Summary
For years, Snoke kept Kylo Ren on a tight leash, and the drinking ban was just one of many restrictions the old man imposed on his apprentice. Now, with Snoke dead, Kylo decides to have his first taste of alcohol at a First Order high-ranking officers' gathering.
With no experience and not a single soul who cared enough to watch over him, the young Supreme Leader drinks far beyond his limits. Hux, while secretly enjoying the embarrassing display his superior is making with that absurd amount of alcohol in his system, decides to step in — though his reasons are far from altruistic.
Later that night, when Kylo finds himself hunched over a toilet bowl emptying his stomach, Hux sees an opportunity to take full advantage of his Supreme Leader's humiliating and vulnerable state. -

Junior Year was supposed to be easy for Kylo Ren, but now he's running against Rey for Student Council President (he hates her, he promises), joining the debate club with his best friend Hux (who he's totally not dating, he swears), fighting with his Super-Arch-Nemesis and (unfortunately) foster-brother Poe (who only got cast as Hamlet because the system is rigged, Kylo Ren knows it), all while juggling his part-time job at Hot Topic and a family who can't seem to get his name right.

A cold shiver ran down Hux’s spine. He looked around him, searching for the most comfortable looking rock and after sweeping a bit of dust from the top he sat on it, stiff as a piece of wood. A tiny voice in his head was telling him the news were worse than he could possibly imagine. [...]
