Healing is the rarest power among supes. However, the rare power Dr. Hannibal Lecter had also has a dark side that will make Homelander sweat out an ocean.
The public knows him as a kind-hearted doctor and psychiatrist who can heal even the most fatal diseases and has a keen sense of smell. He's a connoisseur of arts, classical music, and fine dining as well as having expert art, music, and culinary skills himself.
However, Vought is covering up Hannibal's dark secrets. Hannibal kills the rude and he is allowed to torture rude supes to keep them in line. Vought also doesn’t know the dark side of his power.
His younger husband Will Graham is a renowned psychic empathic detective who solved hundreds of murder cases. He is famous for being an expert fisherman, his love for dogs, his sarcasm, and being a drunk. But he fears that the powers he uses to find killers will make him become one.
Their marriage was arranged by Vought because they know the doctor is always obsessed with the detective. Vought did it for Hannibal as a reward for saving the president from a heart attack. The detective didn't want to but the company threatened his reputation, his career, and his daughter to make him comply.

Summary
Will Graham has been struggling to find The Chesapeake Ripper but he feels so close to him and yet so far. He meets The Chesapeake Ripper, knowing him as Hannibal Lecter...his priest. The Ripper had lost motivation in staging his crime scenes, opting for grizzly and gory rather than artful and picture perfect. Will, unknowingly, helps in returning some inspiration. In turn, Hannibal decides to help Will with his internal issues and instability. Will learns more about himself through Hannibal and his codependency towards his priest but believes it's not for the best. Unfortunately for him, Hannibal doesn't intend to be much help.

Will and Hannibal have known each other since their late teens. When he was young, Will’s family had moved to Lithuania for a few years during his father’s tenure in the army. Soon after, the Grahams became close friends with the Lecters and an instant bond was formed between their two sons.
Over the years, Will and Hannibal had become extremely close, almost like brothers, until Will visited Hannibal in New York for a week while the latter was attending medical school. From there, their relationship got…well let’s just say, a little complicated.
Hannibal AU, mostly taking place a year ago. Will, who is now 32, is working at Johns Hopkins University, teaching classes in the psychology department. Hannibal, now 37, visits him while attending a medical conference in Baltimore. From there, we learn about their complicated history.
The story is divided up into four volumes, split into parts, exploring specific moments from Will and Hannibal’s relationship. These stories are tied together with the weekend from a year ago.
